Single-use plastics are suffocating our seas

We have all seen the horrific photos of how plastics are damaging our oceans. There are many simple ways we can help by reducing our plastic usage. So, no excuses!

Ways to help

  • Refill your small bottles of washing-up liquid, laundry detergent, shower gel…
  • If your tap-water is drinkable, then drink it and not bottled water! If not, external filters are available and can be fitted under sinks in crew mess, galley, pantry etc.
  • Use metal straws. Keep them in the fridge and your cold drinks will be even colder!
  • Replace your old plastic toothbrush with a bamboo version.

If you have any other ideas, let us know and we will add them to our list.
